Great question @richard – I believe you are correct. There will be others in the same situation. For 2027 HMRC will probably drop the limit to £20k and if your rental income went up you’d have to report you rental income quarterly – therefore keeping your rental income is a set of simple books would be the solution.

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax

Hi @Kev

I have (personal) income from property of ~£19k/yr, the rest of my earnings are via salary and dividends from the single limited company I own.

My reading of the current MTD for income tax rules is that I’m under the £30k threshold for MTD next year, as my dividend earnings aren’t counted as ‘soletrader’ income. Can you confirm?

AI agents anyone?… we are looking at n8n.ai and also Make.ai and Zapier which some of you might already be using?

My biggest takeaway so far is “Planning” if you can explain in detail a process without AI, then building an Agent starts to become easier…
